Yes, I got to set foot in the stacks at the New York Public Library. Yes, it felt very close to what I imagine a religious experience must feel like. I don’t know how to describe it other than overwhelming. This may have been four levels down, but I don’t recall; Our tour was brief but fantastic and the stacks were immense.
